Tony Bernazard vs. Fedor?

Posted by Gene Morris on July 22, 2009

When it rains, it pours.

The New York Mets, a season high 10 games behind the National League East leading Phillies, have suffered injuries to three of their top four hitters (Carlos Delgado, Jose Reyes, Carlos Beltran) and their #2 and #3 starting pitchers (John Maine, Oliver Perez.)

The major league lineup is punchless.  They just got shut out by the Washington Nationals John Lannon last night.

But one executive was literally trying to throw punches at the clubs AA team in Binghamton.

According to the New York Daily News…

WASHINGTON – The Binghamton Mets clubhouse nearly turned into a scene out of WWE Raw recently, when VP for player development Tony Bernazard removed his shirt and challenged the Double-A players to a fight during a postgame tirade, multiple sources told the Daily News.

Can it get any more embarrassing for the club? It’s going to be a LONG 2+ months for everyone in the entire organization.
